• 06:00 – Awake from the dreamy dream land that has been my happy home for the last eight hours to hear that Mandelson has been appointed to the EU. Wish I’d stayed asleep.
  • 07:30 – Arise, krakken like, from the depths of my room. Shower, break fast, put my stuff together for work. Wish I’d stayed in bed.

  • 09:30 – Swap library books (Rebus 11 (Standard Ian Rankin, nice crime story) & Angry Young Spaceman (Starts well, good ideas, falls apart completely and annoyingly at the end) for The Frumious Bandersnatch (With a title like that how could I refuse?) and Alfred Hitchcock in the Vertigo Murders (Hitchcock stars in a murder mystery novel. Wierd))

I seem to alternate between Helpful and Really Useless for p4u shops (One of the side points of my moving around is that I’ve never renewed my contract in the same p4u shop two years running: Sunderland, London, Tunbridge Wells, Cambridge, Reading and now Letchworth). Took bloody ages though, some kind of problem with the stock sourcing computer.
