Words cannot express how much this news pleases me. Firstly, it means that there are still people hacking the kernel who are not trying to use it for a political point (The recent debarcle about the non-gpl included firmware binaries springs readily to mind), and of course those people who can read morse will be able to tell when their monitor-less server panics, and why.

Asuming it has a keyboard attached.

As someone commented in the linked doc, it would be more useful if it did this with the power or hard-drive light…
