Mostly

This week, I have been mostly:
Reading
Tom Holt, Little People
Iain M. Banks, Inversions
Max Barry, Jennifer Govenment

Jennifer Govenment is a story of what happens when the world is privitised. It's funny, well written, well plotted and with actual real characters and an actual real world. Highly recommended.

Playing
X2
Watching
Scooby Doo on DVD (Not a good film, but a worth watching for it's badness.)
Bubblegum Crisis 2040 and Cowboy Bebob videos
Starsky & Hutch at the Cinema (A good, funny and accurate reworking/piss-take of the series)
Coding
Anti-spam measures for Epistula
Writing
Toffia/ACDS
Thinking
I should finish editing mockingbird.wav

So what’s your nationstate called? (I’m assuming that you were led to Jennifer Government by Nationstates.net, but if you weren’t, then you should check it out-it’s good for a laugh)

I did see it, but it didn’t really interest me, and I knew I recognised the name of the book from somewhere, which is why I picked it up :-)

Working on Epistula? What happened to the end of PHP?

/me was starting on PHP last night, and thus far has found it unlike anything before, and scary.

My exact words were “I will never again begin a personal project written in PHP.” I’m not dumping my current project set. Plus, I work as a PHP Dev, so resolving never to touch it again would be suicidal :-)

I found Scooby Doo worth watching for two reasons…

1. It was filmed at Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island, which was right near where I grew up. I spent many happy hours out on Moreton Bay with my Dad in our boat and it was cool picking out the bits I recognised.

2. Shaggy. This man is amazing- his portrayal had me gobsmacked.
